ASSESSMENT OF THE STATE OF PREPARATIONS FOR EYOF BANSKÁ BYSTRICA 2022

The representatives of the national Olympic committees from all over Europe, the EOV Coordination Commission and the technical delegates of the particular sports at the European Youth Olympic Festival (EYOF 2022) in Banská Bystrica are meeting this week. At this week-long meeting, they will learn about the preparations for the EYOF, which are in full swing.
From Tuesday, the technical delegates will meet with the members of the Organising Committee and the Slovak Olympic and Sports Committee in Central Slovakia, who will be responsible for the particular sports at the EYOF. In Banská Bystrica and its surroundings (Zvolen, Detva, Badín and Slovenská Ľupča), there will be competitions in ten sports in the summer – athletics, swimming, judo, tennis, badminton, cycling, gymnastics, volleyball, basketball and handball.
Representatives of the National Olympic Committees, whose athletes will compete at the EYOF, will also arrive on Tuesday. Over the next few days, they will hear more information from the organisers to help their youth teams prepare for the most important European event for the athletes aged 14 to 18.
They will learn about the organisation, including accommodation, accreditation, ceremonies and transportation. There will also be a site visit at the sports venues and technical equipment.
