Earth Overshoot Day

Did you know that the Earth Overshoot Day marks the date when humanity’s demand for ecological resources and services in a given year exceeds what Earth can regenerate in that year? Humanity thus lives the rest of the year on (ecological) debt, which is very difficult to repay. This means that with our current demands, we would need more then 1,5 planet.
