Construction works, which are being carried out, aim at modernizing and improving the conditions for young sports talents and professional athletes. Regular inspection days provide proof that work continues on all sites during this winter period.

At winter stadium, the static securing of wooden supporting structure of the main Hall A has already been completed, and the work related to the introduction of complete air conditioning in both halls is about to conclude. MFK Dukla footballers can already use the new athletic training stadium with artificial grass, which is located in the immediate vicinity of the SNP Stadium. At the sports ground with a sloping training track are currently training also athletes. During spring months, the final works of grassing the areas will be completed. At the same time, a throwing cage for hammer and discus throw will be added and a sector for shot put will be created.

“At the main SNP Stadium, complete work is being finished so that in the spring months, weather permitting, an artificial track can be poured. After that, the stadium will be completed for athletics disciplines. The main tribune has been already completed and seats will be placed in the near future. Under construction is also interior of the main building of the grandstand,” explains Roman Benčík, director of VŠC Dukla Banská Bystrica.
