The area of Štiavničky swimming pool will undergo revitalization

One of the main sports venues of the XVI. European Olympic Youth Festival Banská Bystrica 2022 awaits its revitalization. The municipal company MBB, a. s. realizes the gradual complex reconstruction of the indoor swimming pool Štiavničky.
During the reconstruction of the premises new parking spaces will be added, new public lighting will be built and the surrounding areas will be adapted to the park form using outdoor elements. New shed of an existing water spring will be built, trash bins will be added and there will be a lawn throughout the whole area. Existing trees on the north side of the premises will be preserved.
Fitness and work-out elements and a children’s playground will be added in the western outdoor part of the complex. After the revitalization, the terrace of the main building will be connected to the parking lot by a new staircase. At the end of the reconstruction works also new fencing of the whole area will be added.
MBB, a. s., has already launched a tender for the supplier of the construction part of the renovation of the western and northern parts of the swimming pool area Štiavničky. The estimated value of the revitalization is 429,000 EUR, excluding VAT. The only criterion for evaluation is the price. Candidates must submit collateral of 10,000 EUR by 25 January.
The entire revitalization is funded by the Government of Slovak Republic, as part of the funds dedicated to ensuring the reconstruction and equipment of sports infrastructure for the European Olympic Youth Festival Banská Bystrica 2022.
