Olympic Culture and the Education program OCEP

In 2021, the Organising Committee of the European Youth Olympic Festival 2022 Banská Bystrica, in cooperation with the Slovak Olympic and Sports Committee, prepared a rich variety of activities focused on Olympic education. A unique program focused on educating young people through sports, educational and cultural activities and sharing knowledge through the exchange of information.
Primary and secondary schools from all over Slovakia can participate in a unique program focused on educating young people through sports, educational and cultural activities and sharing knowledge through the exchange of information. The aim of the OCEP program is to help promote culture and sport among European countries by educating young people about Olympic values and in cooperation with young people.
“OCEP is a truly amazing program with unlimited possibilities, which would be a great pity not to take advantage of. I would therefore like to thank you once again for the opportunity to join the program and explore its possibilities. It was definitely an unforgettable experience and a fantastic experience for all of us,” says teacher Corticella, who personally participated in this program with the students in Baku.
The OCEP 2022 program is an exclusive program for 50 selected schools from Slovakia. According to Ivana Motolíková, director of this educational program: “Throughout the school year, schools will receive material support and the opportunity to attend meetings directly with athletes and Olympians, visit the Olympic Museum in Bratislava and can become part of the EYOF event directly in Banská Bystrica. The most active school will travel on an excursion to the IOC headquarters and the Olympic Museum in Lausanne.“ And, as she adds, she believes that through this program she will meet active students who like to explore, learn and are not afraid of new challenges.
